Our Philosophy: 
The Sullivan Centre philosophy is prescriptive skin care. All of our skin care patients are seen by Dr. Sullivan prior to receiving any treatment. He will suggest medically proven products and services. Our aesthetician, Dina Maynard will serve as your concierge through this process. She specializes in microdermabrasion, ultrasound, and various facial peels. She works directly with Dr. Sullivan when it comes to light therapy, skin resurfacing, and tightening procedures. By combining experience, relaxation, and medicine, The Sullivan Centre skin care team strives to make each patient's experience a unique one. We make beautiful things by combining art and science.

What is microdermabrasion?
Skin Resurfacing can reduce the effects of aging on our skin. Years of sun exposure and the aging process take their toll on the skin, creating lines, wrinkles, and changes in texture and color. Not only is the face a likely victim of these changes, but the neck, chest, cleavage, arms and hands may be affected as well.

Skin Resurfacing is a treatment that improves wrinkles, skin texture and color by removing the topmost layer of skin leaving it more supple and vibrant. Skin Resurfacing also stimulates the elastic tissue beneath the surface of the skin resulting in a healthier and firmer appearance.  The DiamondTome Skin Resurfacing treatment is non-invasive, pain-free and requires no down time after treatment.

How does Microdermabrasion work?  
This innovative skin rejuvenation technology featuring the DiamondTome Wand produces superior results. Resurfacing occurs as the wand is drawn across the skin, with no loose crystals or other abrasives that contaminate you or your environment. This skin resurfacing system achieves skin rejuvenation without the adverse effects of loose particles, burning, irritation, and skin reactions. Even at its highest settings, DiamondTome is regarded as a gentler skin resurfacing system yet provides more dramatic results than other skin care systems.

Is Microdermabrasion a safe procedure?
Micorodermabrasion performed at the Sullivan centre is a safe and therapeutic procedure. All skin care services provided at The Sullivan centre are done so under the recommendation and supervision of Dr. Michael Sullivan. If Dr. Sullivan does not think you are a candidate for this procedure, he will suggest other treatment options.

Is there any downtime?
In most cases, patients are able to return to normal activities immediately. Often times, patient may even choose to have this treatment during the lunch hour. 

What is the difference between a microdermabrasion treatment at The Sullivan Centre versus one at my spa?
Every skin care procedure performed at The Sullivan centre is done so ONLY upon the recommendation of Dr. Sullivan. This ensures that every patient is receiving the most appropriate treatment option. Microdermabrasion may or may not be your best option. We believe that anyone who is considering any type of skin care procedure deserves the opinion of a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon and the benefits of having a qualified plastic surgeon overseeing your care every step of the way.
