What is Radiesse dermal filler?
Radiesse dermal filler is a biocompatible substance made of made of calcium hydroxylapatite that is identical to a substance which is is naturally found in the body. Radiesse is used to plump up deep wrinkles and folds. Because it does not contain any animal or human-derived components Radiesse has a minimal risk of allergic reactions. Over time, the product will degrade naturally into calcium and phosphate ions that are safely metabolized by the body’s own processes.
How does Radiesse dermal filler work?
When injected into the skin the Radiesse microspheres initially form space under the skin. They will immediately provide facial volume for a soft, natural look. The results are immediate. Over time, your body will gradually absorb the gel carrier, but the very tiny, smooth microspheres remain. Once injected, Radiesse dermal filler starts a process of necollagenesis, or the creation of new collagen. It stimulates collagen production in your own body and encourages collagen growth around the injection site. In many cases, the results may last up to a year or more.
