Resurfacing

Resurfacing refers to a broad category of treatment options that remove the outer layers of facial skin. This skin, which appears aged as a result of time, sun and the elements, is then replaced by healthy, rejuvenated collagen and skin.

Dr. Mike describes these resurfacing options like the rungs of a ladder. At the bottom of the ladder are skin care products, lite chemical peels, and microdermabrasion, which remove only the outer layer of the epidermis. Results are subtle, but with essentially no recovery or down time. By moving up the ladder of options, more layers of damaged skin and pigment are being removed. Results are expected to be much better and longer lasting. But with the removal of deeper layers, there will be some healing, redness and down time.

Dr. Mike and his aesthetics team will customize a treatment plan which meets your specific goals, as well as, guide you through the process. When you choose Sullivan Centre, know that we are with you every step of the way.
